Returns & FAQs

RETURNS (US ONLY)

RETURNS: To be eligible for a return, item(s) must be unused and in original, unopened packaging. Opened packages will be shipped back to the customer and a refund will not be given. Unopened items may be returned by mail within 15 days from the date the order is delivered. Returns outside the 15 days will not be accepted. Please email hello@thefileist.com along with your order number to submit your return. Once a return is received and approved, a refund will be processed within 5-7 business days. 

***Customer is responsible for paying their own shipping costs for returning their item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

We recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance as we are not responsible for your product in the mail.

The fileist / Hats On LLC has the right to refuse returns that do not meet these requirements. We only accept returns for purchases through www.thefileist.com

*International orders are all FINAL SALE

*DO NOT Ship returns back to warehouse address on the shipping box. They will not be accepted and returned to sender

*We do not offer exchanges even if your items were gifted

DEFECTIVE OR MISSHIPPED ITEMS

While we inspect every order before shipping & strive to provide only the best in quality, we recognize that sometimes errors occur. We offer replacements at no shipping cost for mishipped items. All items returned as defective will be inspected on receipt and any items deemed to subject to reasonable wear and tear will not be accepted as faulty. We will replace a defective item if a replacement is in stock and available. Simply notify us by email at hello@thefileist.com within 3 days of receiving the product along with an image of product and/or defect. This will ensure we can promptly address your concerns. All goods shall remain your responsibility until we receive them. 

ORDER CHANGES OR CANCELLATIONS

Orders may be canceled or changed within 1 hour of placing it during business hours 9am-5pm PST. If within this timeframe, please email hello@thefileist.com within that time frame along with your order number to submit cancellation. 

OUT OF STOCK ITEMS 

Though we always make our best effort to ensure that all items available online are in stock, the fileist may cancel orders in the event of the unavailability of an item.

LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS

Credits will be charged back to original form of payment can take up to three business days to appear in your bank account, depending on bank processing times. If you still haven’t received your refund, please first check your bank account and if not received email hello@thefileist.com

Returns not following this policy will only be accepted at our discretion.
